Our institution provides shelter for families who have lost their homes and for expectant mothers. We offer temporary housing to support the upbringing and care of children within their families. Every child has the right not to be separated from their parents solely due to financial reasons. Therefore, the Temporary Home for Families is not an institution for the social placement of parents, but rather, accommodation is granted to the parent for the sake of their child, based on children’s rights. The service is only available to those with a permanent or registered address in Érd.
Why do we work?
Our mission is to help families achieve long-term independent living, ensure the proper care and upbringing of their children, preserve and strengthen family relationships, and recognize and develop their own values. We guide them in identifying and using local resources for their own benefit. We support families in building independent living skills, successful social reintegration, and starting anew.
Our services include:
- providing housing opportunities,
- family care and childcare,
- social and mental health support,
- psychological counseling,
- legal counseling,
- access to bathing, laundry, and cooking facilities,
- comprehensive care for children as needed (clothing, hygiene and cleaning products, medicines, medical aids, transportation, telephone access, food support),
- provision of textiles and conditions for personal hygiene,
- availability of first-aid equipment.
