Why Become a Volunteer?

In today’s society, it is essential that we pay attention to one another and care for those in need of help.

The Érd Social Care Center offers numerous opportunities to support people in need across different areas. With your volunteer work, you can make a significant contribution in the following places and activities:

Residential Home for the Elderly
  • Conversations with the elderly: Share your time, listen to their life stories, and provide companionship.
  • Library support: Help the elderly use the local library and assist them in choosing books.
  • Gardening activities: Support them with gardening tasks and help maintain the community garden.

  • Ceramics workshop: Assist in creating ceramic items and support the workshop’s activities.
  • Supporting persons with disabilities: Help with daily tasks and provide support in everyday life.

  • Planning and organizing children’s leisure activities: Arrange fun programs and games for children.
  • Academic support: Help children with homework, studies, and provide language learning assistance.

During registration, in addition to your contact details, we will ask you a few questions to get to know you better and to understand what type of volunteer work you would like to do, and how we can count on your support.

The form also gives you the option to let us know if you would like to complete your community service with us.
