The Home for Homeless People provides accommodation for homeless men and women who, due to their health and mental condition, require continuous assistance. The use of this service is voluntary. Admission is preceded by an admission procedure, during which the forms and possibilities of cooperation become clear to both the caregiver and the person receiving care.
Admission to the Home for Homeless People is based on the decision of the head of the organisational unit, with particular regard to the applicant’s social, mental, health, family and other circumstances, as well as their age, the places available in the institution and the number of people waiting for admission.
The service provides 24-hour nursing and care supervision, full board, and provision of medicines and clothing.
In the 10-place Home for Homeless People, accommodation is provided in rooms with 1, 2 and 4 beds.
We accept applications and enquiries from people wishing to move in, as well as from social workers wishing to initiate placement, from the area of Pest County.
In the Home, residents have the opportunity to watch television, and spacious shared lounges provide comfortable spaces for spending free time. We also organise activities every week.
The Home for Homeless People may be used by a person who:
- is a Hungarian citizen, or a person holding an immigration or settlement permit, a stateless person, or a person recognised as a refugee by the Hungarian authorities,
- had their last registered address in Pest County,
- has reached the age of 18,
- has no other housing option,
- acknowledges the provisions of the House Rules upon admission and confirms this with their signature,
- has a negative chest X-ray screening result not older than 6 months,
- has a dermatological certificate not older than 6 days,
- has a general practitioner’s certificate in accordance with statutory requirements,
- has had their care needs assessed during preliminary care.
When using the service, a care fee is determined from the first day of moving in. Pursuant to Section 117(2)(b) of Act III of 1993 on Social Administration and Social Benefits, in the case of residential institutions, the personal care fee payable for institutional care may not exceed 80% of the service user’s monthly income.
