Home help with an alarm system is one form of basic social services. Its organisation is not a mandatory municipal task. It is a social service designed to help prevent and manage crisis situations while supporting independent living for older people, persons with disabilities and people with psychiatric conditions who live in their own homes, are in need due to their health condition and social situation, and are able to use the emergency call device properly.
Within the framework of home help with an alarm system, we provide:
- the immediate arrival of the caregiver on duty at the service user’s home in the event of an emergency call, within 30 minutes of the call,
- assistance 24 hours a day,
- the immediate measures required to resolve the problem that caused the emergency call,
- initiating further healthcare or social care services where necessary.
Home help with an alarm system operates as a continuous standby service. In the event of an emergency call, the dispatch centre notifies the caregiver on standby, providing the name and address of the person requesting help and any other available information. The caregiver must arrive at the service user’s home within 30 minutes. Before using home help with an alarm system, social need must be assessed.
By organising basic services, the state and the local municipality provide support to people in social need so that they can maintain independent living in their own homes and living environment, and receive help in dealing with problems arising from their health condition, mental state or other circumstances.
A main unit is installed for each service user, enabling communication with the person receiving care. A basic condition is that the applicant must have a landline telephone. The service is free of charge for socially disadvantaged residents of Érd, Diósd and Tárnok.
We provide the service user with:
- an emergency call device,
- assistance 24 hours a day,
- arrival on site within 30 minutes of the alarm,
- safe and professional care.
