The temporary shelter is open to clients who have remained trapped in long-term homelessness and are motivated to change their lives. One year is available for making changes and building a new life. During this period, social care professionals support our clients in achieving their goals through counselling, case management, care adapted to the individual’s personality, and skills development.
Unfortunately, not everyone is able to leave homelessness behind within one year. In such cases, we do not let go of our clients’ hands: where necessary, based on the recommendation of the professional team, the head of the institution may provide an additional year for the person in need.
Most of our clients come to the institution with the aim of resolving their housing problems and relationships in the short term, and of gaining an opportunity to save money. The current capacity of the shelter provides accommodation for 16 men and 12 women. Women are accommodated in two-bed, three-bed and one four-bed room, while for men we can provide accommodation in three-bed, four-bed and one five-bed room.
Where necessary, the helping activity also includes supervision and household or household-substitute assistance, according to the individual needs of the person receiving care.
